March 2009

Oh, my! It’s been awhile since we’ve updated our news! So much to tell you! We’re going to be launching our very own blog soon! We’ll have lots of great information on health, nutrition, and the eco-friendly pet lifestyle. Stay tuned!
Also, Earth Day is coming soon! Our favorite time of year. Not only is it spring, when our cats love to lounge in the sun on the balcony and the dog gets her in-the-water retrieval time back, but people all over the world raise awareness about making the right choices for our bodies and our planet. We’ll be participating at Earth Day events and letting people know that our pets must be included in our green family decisions. From non-toxic pet toys to wholesome foods and treats, our pets deserve the very best.
To celebrate the arrival of Spring and Earth Day, we’re having a Spring Sale. In addition to featuring items up to 50% off regular price, we’re giving out a coupon code, so you can stock up on your favorite fetch toys and treats! Enter “leashwecan” in the coupon code section during checkout and receive $10 off a $50 order now through Earth Day! Your green pet will thank you for it!

May/June 2008

Some of you may already know about Eddie and his blog. Eddie is on a quest to raise awareness about the harmful chemicals in a number of popular pet foods. The Leash We Can Do has been admiring Eddie’s work, so we asked if we could help out. For the months of May and June, LWCD will be donating 10% of our profits to Eddie and his cause. Did you know that pet foods are not required to be tested for harmful toxins and chemicals? Preservatives, colorings, and artificial flavors, may be accumulating in your furry loved ones’ bodies and contributing to health problems. This is why we’re so careful in our selection of products we carry and we’re so happy to have Eddie out there raising awareness.
We will continue to partner with other non-profit organizations dedicated to the well-being of pets from time to time. We love our pets and our environment and we want to make a difference. Check this page for future organizations we’ll be working with to create a better and safer world for everyone!
Go Eddie!

The intent is to provide practical ideas that each visitor can integrate into everyday life. The event features vendors, informational booths, hands-on activities and kids’ crafts that highlight all the different aspects of leading an environmentally friendly lifestyle, such as organic food, fair-trade products, green energy sources, and recycling and conservation programs.

The Leash We Can Do and Amy were on the news!

NBC 5 ran a feature on people who use scooters in the city. Amy was asked to participate because of the large number of miles she travels on her scooter for business.
